London Icons

London has so many iconic buildings it's a struggle to choose my favourite ones.  There are some that I return to time after time though to try to capture them from the perfect angle with the perfect sky.  I have lost count how many pictures I have of the Gherkin, the London Eye and "Big Ben".  Below are a few of my favourites.

Thanks Hilda - I have taken a few with the 7D, but not many that I am 100% happy with - no fault of the camera of course. This one was taken with the 7D: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_41DnHuc0GOE/S_Ao9DaUVLI/AAAAAAAAAHY/ju4VtuZsDic/s1600/Blue+Hour+4.jpg

Kerrin - Hope you are having an awesome time in NYC! So jealous!

Ha - yes I hear you, returning time and time again to the same buildings to get the angle or the sky just right! The Lloyds & Willis buildings are among my favourites, particularly because of the crazy reflections - like a Escher drawing! Still not 100% happy with any Gherkin exterior pic I've taken... The Leadenhall pic is spectacular - so hard to capture the feel of the place but you've done it perfectly!
